COURSEWORK DESCRIPTION

Write a report about the use of computers to reduce the environmental impact of one specific transportation network:

Select and research a specific transportation network.
Describe and analyze how computers are used to reduce the environmental impact of that specific transportation network.
Discuss the potential financial, legal or political effects of using that computer system for other transportation networks.
The report must be at least 1,250 words and no more than 2,000 words in length (excluding appendices and reference list).

The report should inform the reader in a way that is easy to understand and reflects your own personal style. You may use supporting images, charts, diagrams and other visual elements from outside sources as long as each source is properly cited within your report. Students are required to use the Harvard APA referencing and citation format for all external sources.

This coursework contributes 60% to the B101 unit mark.

COURSEWORK SUBMISSION

Students are required to submit their coursework online using the Mosaic website.

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA

(1) Report content (40 marks)

Marks	Criteria
29–40	Report has a clear explanation and compelling analysis about the use of computers to reduce the environmental impact of a specific transportation network and contains thoughtful personal reflection about possible financial, legal or political impact.
28	Report has a clear explanation and analysis about the use of computers to reduce the environmental impact of a specific transportation network and contains thoughtful personal reflection about possible financial, legal or political impact.
24–27	Report has a clear explanation about the use of computers to reduce the environmental impact of a specific transportation network and contains some personal reflection about possible financial, legal or political impact.
20–23	Report has a clear explanation about the use of computers to reduce the environmental impact of a specific transportation network.
16–19	At a threshold level, the report describes the use of computers to reduce the environmental impact of a specific transportation network.
0–15	There is insufficient content and analysis that are relevant to the coursework assignment.
