COURSEWORK DESCRIPTION
Each group must maintain a
team journal that provides the following information:
- Coordination of work
- Detailed updates and notes about the distribution of work and resources between team members.
- Each team may select their own method to collect information and write updates.
- Updates should occur every 3 to 5 days.
- Task planning and tracking
- Detailed updates and notes about the status of tasks as they are performed by each team members.
- Each student is required to write updates for their assigned tasks.
- Updates should occur every 2 to 4 days.
- Updates should be added as comments to the team journal page.
- Problem tracking and resolutions
- Detailed updates, notes and resolutions for problems (technical or personal) that affected the work of the team.
- Each team may select their own method to collect information and write updates.
- Updates should occur once per week, even if it is simply to record that no problems have been encountered.
- Discussion of problems should be added as comments to the team journal page.
- Resolution of problems should be added directly into the team journal page.
- Allocation of individual marks
- Record of individual marks for each team member as a share of the total marks received by the group.
- Supporting notes and discussion about the process of allocating individual marks.
- Discussion and final allocation of individual marks should be added as comments to the team journal page.
Entries to the team journal must be made in
chronological order, such that
the most recent updates are added to the top of the journal page.
This coursework contributes
40% to the B202 unit mark.
COURSEWORK SUBMISSION
Coursework must be submitted online using the Mosaic website. Students are
not permitted to write their coursework using Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat or similar programs. The coursework content (text and images)
must be written directly within the Mosaic coursework submission page for each group.
ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
At every due date, each group will receive a total number of marks based on the assessment criteria below multiplied by the number of students in the group. Each group is responsible for the allocation of individual marks to each student as a share of the total marks received by the group. The sum of marks from all due dates is the considered to be the coursework mark for each student.
