Single Board Computers
Development Environment
The
target sbc refers to the MOPSlcdLX board. The board contains 512 Kb Flash ROM with the Award BIOS. The BIOS boots the CompactFlash disk using the CF-to-IDE adapter. The board is only using the IDE, keyboard, PS/2, CRT and Ethernet connections.
The
host computer is the standard PC that I use for development work. The host computer is running
Slackware 12 with a USB-to-CF adapter.
The development work is done on the host computer and stored directly onto the CompactFlash disk. Conveniently, the CompactFlash disk is removed from the host when work is done and placed directly onto the target sbc. This development approach avoids the need for any connectivity between the host computer and target sbc.
